Lynn is a wonderful teacher and brings a sharp director's eye to her class work. She is passionate, precise, nurturing and wise. Take 2 is thrilled to have her on board with us.
"My approach is a little eclectic. I've been Stanislovsky and Meisner trained, so in terms of particular technique, that's what I draw on when breaking scripts down and creating acting exercises. But I also trained at Barrow Group, and they are much different.
I'm a big believer in giving actors as many tools as I can for their toolbox because you never know what might work!" |

Regina's thoughts on the power of acting....
"I am constantly fascinated by the diversity of my student's personal stories of what inspired them to take a class, and how life changing the experience is for them. All come from such varied walks of life. Some stumbled upon my classes having studied acting in high school, some in college, while others come to me with no acting experience at all, yet always having had an interest in it.
What is it that draws someone to performing?
I believe we ALL desire to express, and hunger for connection. Whether we're an artist, accountant, or stay at home mom; whether we are 8 years old, or 108, we humans were born to connect. To share. To tell stories. Our people did it around camp fires, before film...or even theatre existed! We are creative expressive beings naturally.
Something happens when we explore other characters and inhabit someone else's story- we begin to understand people. We find similarities where before we saw differences. We begin to open our hearts to acceptance, when before we judged. Performing connects us....and possibly heals us."
