5 Week Directing Class w/ Lynn Antunovich
PART 1 (Mondays 6/8, 6/15, 6/22, 6/29 & 7/6 @ 7:00PM -9:00PM via ZOOM)
- An introduction to the work of the director ranging from approaching the text, to articulating an active point of view for a production, and to working with actors in rehearsal.
- Learn Text Analysis. Identify the elements that make up the world of the text and examine their potential influences on a production.
- Understand the elements of Stage Management. Gain the skills to organize all aspects of a production, communicate them clearly, and realize them in a performance.
Class meets four times over the next month, focusing on practical tools which aid the director in developing a production. Once completed, student directors move on to Part 2 of the workshop where they begin to apply their skills toward casting and directing scenes.
